Round 5 in 09

Well, it's that time again .... more visitors in town means we get to do the touristy thing all over again. Believe it or not, I can still find new things to see and do each time around. I noticed today was the most packed the market has been in awhile, and a lot of the vendors come out of the wood works since summer is here. Aunt LaJuana is extremely creative, and I looked at things I never would have looked at because her creative juices were flowing to tell me what I could have done with this, that, etc. We found the most amazing hand crafted kaleidoscopes, which were pretty random. Then, we saw these decorative knives made out of obsidian stone that were really unique and crafted so well. If only I was creative!

I caught myself taking "touristy" pictures, as Gabe calls it, and he said "we live here babe and have taken this pic time and time again." haha - - oh well! Here are some pictures from our fun day.

After getting coffee at the first Starbucks

Uncle Randy checking out all the seafood

One of these days, I will find a great way to cook this fresh fish. Too nervous to try.

Checking out all the gorgeous flowers with sug

I have a series of about five photos of them eating fresh fruit from the market, and their faces are just priceless. They got nectarines, bing cherries, and rainier cherries (which I absolutely loved)!

Group shot with the famous Seattle pig

Ahh, the gum wall

Who knows - too cute to not post

Last but not least, the view of the market over the pier. What an amazing city I live in!!!

It was such a great day together. After Pike's market, we ended up spending the evening at the house chowing down on some yummy food, and we watched the movie Bolt. It's an animated movie that has been out awhile and was pretty cute. If only the rest of the Gills-Smith's could have been here to hang out while playing remember when.

Please get a fish! And then blog all about cooking it. Cutting off the head, gutting it, etc! I would love to read about it!

I am so glad you guys had such fun! I am so jealous but anxious to come out for our next visit. We have decided to come out sometime other than March next time so we can be there with the nice weather.
