Crossfit (aka World Class Fitness)
in 100 words:
in 100 words:
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean and jerks, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, priouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mis these elements in as many combinations and patters as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.
It's like a colt and lures you in!

No, but I have heard TONS about it and know a few people that have done it/are doing it. It seems so hard! I definitely need to do something though. Urgh summer time.
No, but I WANT to try it! I dont know if I have that much dedication! We dont have a good gym that offers it here.. Well, we have one but it's tailored for men/law enforcement etc. Eric did it last year for a little bit and loved it. Then, he fell out of the routine adn couldnt get back in thanks to the CPA. There's a rumor that a gym close to my casa is starting a training class and I SO want to do it to get started!
No, but it sounds good! I always feel like I am stuck in a rut so I think this is a great definition and idea!sa
Oops, don't know why the sa appeared there, must be typing too fast ha ha!
this sounds like the neanderthin diet. i like it.
I'm inspired reading this post! I can't wait to work out tonight. It feels great to be working towards a healthy fitness goal. :)
I have a friend that is nuts about it...all she talks about....I dont think I could hang :)
Sounds intense!! I can't wait to start working out again after I have the baby!!
No, I haven't but I so-so want too! I know a few people who are advid CF'ers .. And they rave about it. Which one do you go to?!
Sounds great! We dont have anything like that here in the boonies. haha

I have heard a lot about it and trying to find one in my area. The thing holding me back is that it looks really expensive. How many days a week do you go?
I have been dying to try Crossfit! I was a gymnast practically my whole life, so it really intrigues me! Oh the good ol days of pull ups, rope climbs, and pirouettes!
Everyone I have heard that has tried it has been hooked! I do circuit training now and actually teach it too and I love it, but I think this would be a little bit more of a challenge!
Those were some intense 100 words!
I've got a free training session i need to cash in on at our Lexington CrossFit. However, sometimes we get on the website and do the workout of the day... it is HARD CORE!!! I'm impressed you do it!! I'd love to get signed up, but already have a trainer at my current gym who likes to destroy my body!
Sounds intense - I should try it. I love pushups!! I'll have to look into it.
I've heard it's great, but am terrified to try it. I need something not so time consuming.
Hot damn!! This seems intense...but I like intense!! I don't know if we have anything like that here!
I never heard of that! Although it sounds super! Good luck and go you!!
i WISSHHHH i could get certified to instruct!!! but um...i dont have thousands of spare buckaroos just laying around begging to be spent...
yay for a healthy and fit lifestyle!!!
Ah! It sounds exhausting!
I've been wanting to try it! My neighbor does it and swears by it. After my half-marathon I might try it.
My husband wants to do it, but gets lazy and only does a few of the work outs here and there ha. theres no way he'd stick to a certain meal plan either. As long as he's eating healthy i'm happy ha. Everyone who does crossfit looks great :)
I have never tried it. I would like to though!
Oooh may have to try it:-)
P.S. I have a surprise for you on my latest post girly:-)
I'm a new follower AND a new blogger....And I must say, I love your blog! Very fun! I'm in St. Paul, MN..so it's fun reading about other's lives around the country.
I think the universe is telling me to try CrossFit because my last apartment was a block away from one and my current apartment is 2 blocks away from one!
Kelsey!
SHould I join Crossfit in Poulsbo?
I think I might be embarrassed to do all of that in front of other people!
Talk me into it chic-a-dee!
xxooxx
I did it once. My friend is really into it and I tagged along. It was really hard and I was sooo sore the next day.
I live literally across the street from a CF place and have yet to try it - I totally want to though!
Of course you know I have ;) Its the only way I want to work out now.
I am scared of Crossfit. Jenny DB said I should try it. The websites for the NYC ones are intimidating!
A whole lot of information in just 100 words...need to try it too!
I assume you're living in Belltown/downtown or South Lake Union, because that's where all the newcomers (without children) live! Did you join the South Lake Union Crossfit or the one in Belltown? How is the parking?
