Wishful Wed ....Olympics

I'm not gonna lie, I like this week's topic ..... :)

'I wish' .... I could have gone to the 2010 Winter Olympics to see one event, and it would have been the mens half-pipe!

I am kicking myself considering I live just hours away from Vancouver, and the Olympics were just a hop, jump, and a skip away.   I wish I could have seen Shaun White outdo every other snowboarder in the world because it just doesn't seem realistic.  The amount of air he gets truly is scary!!!!  I was reading an article saying that he advanced snowboarding further than any sport had advanced in the last previous 10 years.  Talk about one talented athlete with a crazy trick up his sleeve -- the Double McTwist 1260.  Say what~!

A very well deserved GOLD Medal -- Go USA!
Exciting times that would have been well worth the wait!

***Now, feel free to play along and post about the event you wish you were able to see!  Then, add your link below with MckLinky by clinking "YOU ARE NEXT."  This way, others can click directly to your WW post.  Get it?  If not, feel free to email me and I will try and explain better.  Hope everyone can visit at least two or three other blogs (or even more) and leave them some love!  Thanks for making WW so amazing.

Good one! SO funny because he was on Jay Leno last night, but I could not stay up to watch, so I DVR'd it and got up and watched it this mornign while I got ready!
HE IS JUST SO CoOL. Talented- yes, but also a cool kid. He was talking about his own half pipe and stuff and why he did that last trick.. Great pick!

Great pick..

My brother's friend lives in vancouver and he said most of the events were sold out. They tried to go to the gold hockey game. He said the cheapest tickets were $3000. YIKES

Shaun is BEYOND amazing! My little brother has watched his footage from the Olympics for hours and hours by now. He's just in awe. And spending every spare moment in the backyard on the makeshift snowboard park he's managed to build this winter.
