I am from the South, and I LOVE me some sweet tea!

Remember this story when the McDonald's employee told me, "Man good thing I don't like tea because I would be diabetic if I drank as much as you did!!"
Well, I am back on the bandwagon since my dear sister in law gave me her famous/simple sweet tea recipe. Did you notice the pitcher in the picture only has ONE GLASS??? I have been in heaven and would be stupid to admit, which I will do to hold myself accountable and hopefully slow down ...., that I drank an entire pitcher in 24 hours by MYSELF. Then, I made another pitcher and finished it quickly 24 hours later.
WHAT WHAT! Who does that?!?!?! Ohhhhh my! I better be careful so the sugar doesn't attach to my booty. Thankfully, I also drink a TON of water to balance it out, and too worked it off at 6am this morning in Crossfit!!
What drink is your weakness?

DIET DR. PEPPER. There is no other drink.
It use to be pop- Coke to be exact- but I gave that up about 2 months ago! It's all water for me!! And an occasional adult beverage...or two...or three! Ha!!
Ugh, unfortunately, mine would have to be Diet Coke. Love, love, love it! I try not to drink it as much as I would like, but, it's definitely hard! I know how you feel, girl. ;)
I love sweet tea. It is definitely a southern thing. I just can' turn it down! I also love diet coke with lime!
Haha my post for today talked about how Splenda is my new best friend because I've given up sweet tea! I could drink a pitcher in day without any problem at all...youre not alone!
Love coke from a soda fountain and sweet tea :)
I <3 Sweet Tea. What's the recipe? Do share. :)
Without a doubt, Sam's Choice peach water. My co-workers tease me about it mercilessly!
Sweet tea for me!!! Also coke, I know they are both so bad for you, but taste so yummy!!
milk and sweet tea girrrrrrl. im so with you :) i usually split my milk intake halfway bet regular 2% and choc..well...2% w/some hershey's chocolate syrup mixed in YUMM!!! and i make pitchers of sweet tea all the time and drink them MYSELF!!!
but hey- i have the same philosophy- i drink tons of water everyday which has to balance it out. and honestly- if i don't satisfy my sweet tooth, im just not a happy girl :)
yay for sweet tea!! oh- what's the great recipe you used??
I love love love sweet tea!! That picture is making me thirsty!
I used to love sweet tea. I would have one from Sonic everyday. I quit drinking them and dropped 11 lbs. That was enough to keep me away. Now, I love mango margaritas but I don't have one everday. About 1 every 1-2 weeks.
Sprite Zero. I drink at least 4 cans a day. It's amazing goodness!
I think my answer is obvious: Wine and vodka.
I do love sweet tea too! I really drink a lot of water at home, but if their is Sierra Mist around, I will take that for sure! It's the best when there is a few limes in it:)
That's a lot of sweet tea to drink ;-) I don't really like sweet tea unless it's homemade.
I'm sadly addicted to diet coke. I have to have atleast one can a day. Fountain diet soda is the best though.
I should try to get addicted to water. I'm sure it would be much better for me :-)
I loveeeee sweet tea too! And I need mine with lots of lemon! What's your sister's recipe? I'll for sure have to make some soon

I'm this bad too. I've never been able to figure out how to MAKE good sweet tea (any tips would be great!) so we buy it. I seriously go through 3 gallons of sweet tea in a week. Ah, I love the southern life. :)
*Raises guilty hand* I love, love, love my sweet tea. I don't get to drink it often at school (AKA - with dinner every night), but when I go home, I can take care of a picture like *that.* It's truly a southern thing though - one of my best friends leaves in WA - about an hour south of Seattle actually - and tried some after I swore up and down on all that is holy that it's the best stuff ever. She hated it. She just doesn't know what she's missing!
100% Diet Coke!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive never been a fan of sweet tea, rather I will drink a pitcher of UNSWEETENED tea all by myself in 24 hours. I am not a huge fan of sugar. I will admit this. ):
Coke zero. I'm as southern as it gets, but I just don't drink sugar. You're working it off though! You're so fit.
While I am from the South, it has to be UN-sweet tea.
i love your Harley the Yorkie picture :-0
I'm with you on the sweet tea! I should probably drink more water though! But tea is mostly water, right? Ha!
we drink a pitcher a day too! seriously... had to switch to Luzianne decaf bags and Splenda because i felt so guilty. can't really tell a difference in taste though...
We drink way too much sweet tea at our house! My hubby could drink a pitcher a day so I'm always making it!
OMG!
You were in CROSSFIT at 6 a.m?!!!
Good for you girl!
DIET RITE COLA is the weakness in this abode!
Never have been a big sweet tea drinker...always too worried about CALORIES!
BUt mom is making it these days...half Splenda and half sugar! Big hit!
I am acquiring a taste for hot tea here in the Northwest. Love the Tazo teas!
Earl Grey with a bit of Splenda and a splash of ff milk. yeah! Love lots of the flavors. Really helps me not to eat!
xxooxx
Sounds so yummy! I am a water with lime and lemon girl! Once my ticker is healthier though I cannot wait to have a glass of wine again! Maybe on vacation I will have a glass though, I have been careful for a year! LOVE wine though!
Does she do anything special to it? I'm from the north so pretty much the only sweet tea I get is when I make it for myself!
Love that sweet tea!! Honestly, what good southern girl ever refuses a glass of tea (sweet or un)? None. :)
Coffee coffee coffee!
I would say tea and wine are my weakness....other than that all I drink is water!! =)
Regular Iced Tea with extra lemon. yum!
im a soda girl =)
cant wait to see your WW pick!
mine is cola and in the morning a big cup of coffee..:D
sweat tea was the one thing i did not pick up as an obsession in the south... bojangles on the other hand. I miss me some chicken strips, fries, and biscuits!
I LOVE tea, too but fortunately am addicted to unsweetened, ha!
My all time favorite is Chick-fil-a but in a pinch, McDonald's will do.
Kelly - I too drink sweet tea....several homemade glasses a day! I do two family size tea bags and one MINT tea bag (family recipe!)
I can't quit lemonade. Even in the middle of winter, I love me some of that lemony goodness. Sigh
I am obsessed with sweet tea as well.. I usually go to McDonalds every morning and get a Lg sweet tea to bring to work. It's bad enough to where I alternate McDonalds drive thrus because I don't want the people to think I have a problem..LOL!
I grew up in Northern California and sweet tea was unheard of there! Here in South West Virginia it's a way of life. I never got into it. My hubby loves it and swears that the further south we go (on our way to the beach) the sweeter the tea gets.
I love wine, mixed drinks and coffee but I'm off of all three for awhile since I'm doing the flat belly diet. booooo.
Coke Zero. I could drink a 2 leiter in a day by myself. I try to be moderate but I do love it! It's REALLY good with some a splash of Passion Fruit Vodka in it - ooh yum! I tried it in the store one day cause they were all out of Pepsi and am totally hooked!
When I lived in the south, I would drink sweet tea and little else. No one serves it here in Ohio - funny how I lost weight once I moved!
Now I am addicted to Diet Mountain Dew!
I'm not even from the south and I love Sweet Tea too! However, I don't drink it very often...really the only thing I drink is water!
I love sweet tea too! I use Splenda when I make mine at home---it still tastes good! I can also live on Coke Zero!
haha - Sweet Tea is amazing, that's for sure. I have to sweeten it with Sweet n low though so I don't get a sugar butt! HA!
But Diet Coke is my drink weakness. I love it. LOVE.
oh honey - i love me some sweet tea too! woot woot for southern girls! my drink addiction is none other than diet DP or diet coke ... which i've had to cut down on lately ;)
that sweet tea looks LOVERLY!!! and at least you worked it off - ain't no thang.
I'm cheap so I love me some Kool-Aid! :)
Oooh please share the recipe...up here in the north we don't have sweet tea :) I would love to see what all the hype is about! I am a water girl, but am a sucker for Crystal lite!
Diet Coke!! I drink it like it's going out of style! haha.....water would be a much better option, but I just cant do it! haha
Starbucks' Carmel Apple Cider! I get cavities just by LOOKING at it!
Sobe Life Water and Pumpkin Milkshakes (when in season!) :)
I have never had sweet tea. Next time I take a trip to the south it will be a must!
I don't drink much of anything but water, but sometimes fountain drinks sound good. I like diet coke with lemon or squirt.
I love iced tea too, but usually unsweetened or fruit flavored. Sweet tea is just too sweet for me, sorry Kelsey! I would totally drink a whole pitcher of unsweetened ice tea with a lemon by myself though!
I usually only ever think to drink water...I'm just in a habit...always have been. But your post about sweet tea gave me such a craving!!! I'll have to make some tonight with supper!!!
Sweet tea is my addiction also! (Please share the recipe!) Lately I've been drinking alot of Mug Cream Soda though..
I'm glad that I don't like sweet tea, but I am addicted to cranberry juice...and that definately isn't good for you either!
Chik Fil-A's Sweet Tea topped off with their AWESOME lemonade...SO GOOD! I drank that EVERYDAY while at work when I was in college!
coffee....I drink it like water, so sad
Great blog! New here!
I am also addicted to sweet tea. LOVE it. I drink it all year round, but feel like less of an addict in the summertime :-)
Starbucks Latte's and Green Tea Lemonade....YUM!
Ohhh I love sweet tea! I make it (and drink it) by the gallon, and am addicted to McD's sweet tea- one trip of 500 miles involved five stops at McD's just for the tea. lol
Pitchers of tea NEVER last more than a day in our house. And I don't drink it. Just the husband. :) So you're not alone!
