Cookies anyone?!

Hubby thought we should celebrate the season of cookies, help support our local girl scouts, AND bump up their sales with our biggest order yet!! I came home to a year supply of cookies, and although I am really excited about them .... my figure does not need them!!!! How do I say "no" to a little yummy taste of goodness when my pantry is overflowing with them?

I am hooked on Samoa's, but I am really excited to try their new 2010 flavor. I mean, since you're going to twist my arm ......

Did you buy any girl scout cookies this year??
If so, how many and what's your favorite kind?

I'm obsessed with samoas too!! I bought two boxes just for myself!! Good thing they are all gone already...only took me a week per box to finish them off!! Yikes!! And if you think your figure can't handle them Lord only knows what those two boxes did to MY figure!! Off to make a dent in the 3 boxes of thin mints in our freezer!! Haha!! Happy girl scout cookie season!!! :)

Lol that's too funny! I haven't bought any just yet but maybe I should stay away from them this year!

Kristen said...

I didn't buy any... but I'm allergic to chocolate so there are only a few I can eat anyway...
But my mom and dad always buy a million boxes. It is just impossible to say no!!

The Samoa are my favorite! oh yum! But my box calls them Carmel deLights.

Kristen said...

We bought 7 boxes (thin mints and tagalongs). So good...they need to get out of the pantry though!

Enjoy your cookies!

I just bought 4 boxes while I was in town today! : ) My husband had never had a Girl Scout cookie before. He loved them! My favorite is thin mints!

By the way, I love your blog!

Hello cookies!! We bought 4 boxes, 2 thin mints, 1 trefoil and 1 samoa. However neither of us can eat them because we're both trying to cut back. Bad timing...

I love Samoas too! However we haven't been able to locate any this year. So sad I don't know what I'm going to do.

L.O.V.E. Girl Scout cookies! I am definitely one of those people who will pull over/bust a "U"/barely avoid a collision to get some Girl Scout cookies. Dedication. Haha. Thin Mints are my fave but I also enjoy a nice box...or six...of Samoas as well :) Poor cookies, one box is lucky to make it a week with me, I'm such a sugar fiend!

I've had to cut back these past 3 weeks because I'm in training for a half maathon and while they're usually such a great treat, they're more hurtful than rewarding at this time :(

OMG. I love GS cookies and I can't find them!! I love the peanut butter chocolate and the short bread!

Rachel said...

Your kitchen looks like ours. We have so many cookies! I love it though :) And I am glad your cookies have the RIGHT names. Only silly places have Caramel Delites instead of Samoas.

Jamie said...

SO many cookies! We actually just bought two boxes today...Thin Mints and my fave, Samoas!

Girl Scout cookies are the best! Tagalongs are my favorite and I got 4 boxes!!! I am keeping two in the freezer for further in the year.

Unknown said...

Thin mints are my favorite however, I can't eat them any more since I have a wheat allergy. Bummer! :(

Unknown said...

I'll take a box of SAMOAS off your hands :)- Lol

Unknown said...

Tagalongs have always been my favorite!! Ate some of those this year :) I didn't even realize it was Girl Scout cookie season until I saw them outside of PetSmart. When I was a GS I used to hate saying, "Would you like to buy a box of GS cookies?" because I thought, 'duh... isn't it obvious?!' and my "elders" would always tell me it means a lot to people. Well.... now that I'm on the other side, I agree!! I walked up to the booth and no one asked me if I wanted a box!!!? I really wanted to try the new ones (LOVE!) so I bought ONE, but no more since they weren't very enthusiastic. HAHA

Happy cookie eating!

Caroline said...

OMG! Yes! We just got our shipment in this week! Mason and I have been munching on Samoas and Thin Mints all weekend! Ugh, Girl Scouts need to time their cookie sales to not interfere with bikini season! ;)

Kelli Kegley said...

Oh my word! What torture! I would just die if I had that many in my house. I have no strength when it comes to cookies....or anything dessert if I'm honest.. haha

Love Girl Scout cookies, and i love that they freeze so well. On Friday night we were at our outdoor shopping mall and the girl scouts where there doing this little dance rap routine, and my husband and I melted and were quickly checking our pockets for cash. So stinkin' cute.

I sadly didn't buy any this year, and I have no idea why! What's wrong with me?! Samoa's are my fave!

Samoas have a new flavor? I must hop to it! We didn't order any this year because I still have a box of thin mints (my husbands fav) sitting in the freezer from last year. However, this whole new samoa flavor has really got me going. I'm going to email my moms club and see if there are any girl scouts selling the remaining cookies. Delish! Thanks for sharing.

allison said...

Haha, since I'm a teacher, they have been all over the place. I've just told them that I don't eat cookies. They are so yummy too!!

My husband bought a few boxes and he was such a good boy and ate ALL of them in 2 days. His figure is not harmed by them...but mine is, so I am so happy he ate them all before I got into them! :) Really took one for the team! :)
