Wishful Wednesday ...Bedroom

'I wish' .... I could come home to

THIS (pictured above)
bedroom each and every night!!

I searched HIGH and LOW on what feels like way too many websites for the perfect bedroom.  I have fallen in love with many bedrooms before, but then found it difficult to find a room that sums up my style when I actually needed it.

The snapshot above captures all the detail and color I hope for in a master bedroom.  I didn't particularly LOVE this style until I lived in a carriage house (apartment above the garage) of the most exquisite home in Highland Park, an area in Dallas.  Thalia's style and decor was right out of an Anthropology magazine, and I learned to really admire the mix-match look and contrast of colors.  I think it is so classy and unique, but bright at the same time.  I LOVE IT, and love how different it is from the traditional style I grew up in.

Wouldn't this be the perfect nook to match?

I cannot wait to move into a house where Gabe and I can call it "home" and where our family can grow.  Then, I can really start getting into decorating!!  Hopefully by that point I will have a style that I will want to live with forever!

What does your
dream bedroom look like?

I may have to do a Wishful Wednesday Thursday edition. I have a definite picture in my head of what my dream bedroom would look like.

Definitely something that would look out onto a blue ocean!!

Love it. It has a very island feel to me, which I really like. And someone else said it, but for some reason it is not what I pictured you would pick..lol.

I totally know what you mean about having a real "home". To me it doesn't seem worth the investment to all-out decorate a place that I know I won't be in for very long.

I can't wait to put all these ideas to use someday!

I love that bed in the first picture, very unique!

This was an awesome topic! It was so much fun looking through all the bedroom pictures online to find what I liked :)

LOVE the birds! Very Anthropology! My comforter is from Anthropology, and although it was a little expensive, I can NEVER go back to anything else:)

That is a great bedroom! I'm so not very talented when it comes to the "mix and match" look, but I love it!
