It's about time!

I am proud to say my husband and my relationship is built on a foundation of Christ!
We  have tried many different churches after moving to Seattle ....

We loved one church, but were a little thrown off by their belief of speaking in tongues.  We were involved with another church for about a year and volunteered as small group leaders for the junior high.  After a lot of thought, we felt led to another really small church (about 300) that we have been attending for the last year and a half, were part of a young married group, and unfortunately recently haven't felt spiritually challenged.

So, we tried this new church (about 4,000), and I couldn't be happier with the end result.
It reminds me so much of my church back home,
and I was in awe from the second I walked in the sanctuary.
I was in tears ... both weeks during worship and felt the inspiration
and the Lord calling this as our church home.

I was ready to place membership immediately,
but we are going to check things out a little more first.
We are getting involved in Groups, which change quarterly,
and it will be a great way for us to jump head first and get plugged in.

This is what we have been missing out on!

I am really excited to embark on this new adventure at Eastlake Community Church,
and I just wish that it didn't take us three years to find.

We are also in the middle of this--so I know how it is. Don't let the belief of speaking in tongues throw you off--grown up around it my whole life and it truly is a powerful tool to pray for things you simply dont have words for.

That is awesome news Kelsey!! My church family is essential in my life. I just got back from attending Women of Faith with 25 of them and it was such an awesome experience. Our church has been our family through years when we didn't live close to any of our actual family. Good for you guys!

Oh I am so glad that you found a church to call home, I love it when you find a church that you really feel like you can belong and grow in your relationship with Christ. I love your blog, it is so pretty and thanks for stopping by mine!

I bet it is hard to keep up with the rain in Seattle, but glad my rainy post helped a bit! ;)

It is so hard to find such a great church that you just love! We had to try out a few until we finally felt at HOME! I am a part of one of those secret shopping websites, but have yet to do a shop. I was worried that my time would be worth more than the $10 commission, but I'm thinking about giving it a try. I live in a small town so all the shops are more than 20 miles away, but I guess I could plan to do them while I go up there for groceries or whatever. Love your blog!
