BUT I mean "maid" as in cleaning lady!
My mom was a rockstar while growing up and still to this day being solely responsible for the cleaning around the house. Dad definitely helped out, but she took on the task majority or the time. Then, on the other hand, my brother and I only had to do chores when company was coming in town. And because of this, cleaning does not come easy to me nor is it at all enjoyable. I am toying with the thought of paying someone to come 1-2x a mth considering hubby and I are super busy, work full time, and most of all don't really enjoy it. Oh what to do, what to do.

Yep we have a cleaning lady... ME! haha...Mister Wonderful claims he cleans too...but really it's me! I give him Toilet Duty..which he actually does since I do just about everything else!
I used to clean my grandpa's house for extra money (I love cleaning :] ha). I don't see anything wrong with having someone come and do it for you. As I like to say, "A clean home is a happy home!" haha
YES!!!!! She comes every other Friday! With 3 kids (and another due this week) she is my lifesaver!!! I do pick up, sweep the floors, etc. on a daily basis, but the deep cleaning, bathrooms, and changing of sheets on beds is all her deal! So, so worth it! I would give up a lot to continue to have her! :)

Yes. Go for it. There's nothing like coming home to a clean, fresh house!

See, I love cleaning and I'm so anal about it that I have to do it myself. But if I hated it, then I'd for sure hire someone to help out!

We have one that only comes once a month! She does things like steam cleans the floors, takes the slats out of the blinds and dust them, washes light fixtures, etc. All the really deep cleaning! I find with just that the rest is much easier to maintain!!!
We have a cleaning lady to clean our 700 sq foot apartment twice a month. It gives us more time to enjoy with each other instead of bickering over who has to scrub the bathtub. Go for it!
Do it! I have friends who have one and say its some of the best money they've ever spent.

I have a cleaning lady that comes weekly and she is a lifesaver! I hate house cleaning with a passion and am not very good at it so it works out best to keep a happy relationship :)
I cleaned a lot growing up! As one of 7 children there was always something to clean and it never all seemed to get done.
I actually enjoy cleaning(not that you would be able to tell from my house right now - oops!) and have cleaned for other people before.
I think having someone clean your house is a great idea! We have no need for a maid in our little apartment, but when the day comes that we move into a house we will probably hire someone to help out.
ok not going to lie--yes, we have one, too. she comes every other week and is a GODSEND! i would give up shopping just to have them come and clean my house...i promise it's worth it and you and the hubby will have SO much more time to do fun things, rather than clean!
ummmm, we love our house cleaner. She makes my life so much better. Makes me happy...every other thursday my house is in order. :)

We have a cleaning lady who comes every other week...saying she is worth it doesn't even begin to describe the sanity that she brings with her! I swear, its in the bleach or something...

We don't have a cleaning lady, but man, do I want one!! I feel ashamed of wanting one, considering we live in a 2 bedroom condo, with no kids! Both of us work ridiculous hours so spending the weekend cleaning is not my idea of relaxation. Problem is, i'll be hard pressed to find a cleaning lady as anal as i am :/
I so want one! I'd love it if someone came twice a month to do the floors and deep cleaning. I say go for it if you can afford to do so!
Hey girl! Yes I'm embarassed but we totally do. It's one less thing for me to worry about. You'll still have plenty with straightening/laundry to keep you busy! (this is the former Real Housewife in MN btw) new blog :) I say do it if you can!
