Football on the mind

My family so far has survived the crazy Dallas weather with horrendous amounts of snow and freezing temperatures.  The DFW airport (huge international airport) closed an entire day with not one flight in or out, which was a first since 9/11.  I am sure the weather impacted thousands traveling to Dallas for the Superbowl.  Talk about angry people, I cannot even imagine considering the hefty price of those tickets.

Gabe and I have yet to finalize Superbowl plans since our plans for this weekend changed just a few days ago unexpectedly, so now we are torn between two of our friends parties.  I committed to one party and Gabe did to another .... All I care about it chips and queso as it's a definite must while watching football.  AND watching my old bestie dance during half-time with the Black-Eyed-Peas.  Soo excited!  I could really careless who wins the game, if only the Cowboys or Seahawks were playing.

Speaking of football players, we hung out with a few Seahawks players last night at a bar downtown .... one being the Seattle favorite Marcus Trufant!!!  Waiting for the fabulous Jenn to send me a photo of us together, such a nice guy!

Well that's all for now.  I'm off to relax with the hubs and do what we do best, watch movies.  He's trying to convince me to watch The Crazies, but I am rebelling.  Wish we luck doing so and also as I'm still trying to convince Gabe to fight the crowds and take me to Din Tai Fung (amazing dumpling house) for dinner tonight.  Remember that one time it was our favorite meal in Australia and they opened a location here in Bellevue ..... well Gabe has gone 5+ times with works buds, but has yet to take me.  Boo!  To his credit, there is a multiple hour wait every night, but I don't mind the wait if we do so together!

Girl Im sure your family told you but Dallas was CRAY CRAY this week. I was stuck at home for 5 days because SMU had 4 snow days in a row! NUTS!!! Enjoy your superbowl parties! I will be watching away from crowds cause Dallas is about as nutty as you'd imagine
