Snail mail is probably one of my favorite things
at the end of the day .... and of course,
this excludes any type of bill!
My mailman knows me by name since I walk the dogs to the mailbox everyday while he fills the community boxes, and I have come to the conclusion that he he is the nicest man. Our mailboxes were broken into the first couple months we lived here, so I make an effort to drop off all my outgoing mail with him so I don't worry about it disappearing in the hands of someone else. We talk about the weather, my dogs that won't stop barking at him, how his day has been, and I recently learned that his territory is getting larger since they are laying off the most senior people. One time, he even made a comment while I was driving a rental and asked where my car was .... what a good memory he has right?
Well, today,
he delivered me this lovely decorated package below,
and I couldn't wait to get home and open it!
Once I got home, I started tearing into it and Harley was sooooo excited to see what was inside.
I just had to open them and try one of each, which I slightly regretted eating right before Crossfit. I should have saved for after my workout - oops! Oh well, it was amazing!
Teresa, your sweet heart and cheerful spirit is so vibrant. I just love a good AMAZING southern gal'! Thank you, Thank you, for my chocolate care package!
**The best mail is from my Granny Gayle! I haven't gone a month without some simple one page note or even many chapters telling me how loved I am and to give Gabe a hug for her! This is what life is all about and cherishing the written notes to the point of savoring them all in a huge folder that is overflowing with her name written on the outside. Love you GG, hope that hand never gives out on you because I don't know what I would do with myself.
