Seattle's Shut-Down

This is the first snow in 2010, and it created for horrendous commutes, people abandoning their cars on the road/hwy, and even a 747 plane sliding off the runway at Seatac Airport.

I am so thankful we were able to get out of Seattle before the snow hit, as it has completely shut down our city.  The hardest thing to swallow ... my fellow colleagues are sitting by the fire enjoying their multiple snow days on the company!!

BUT, I get to spend my days with all my family in Texas - Yeehaw!
*Mi Cocina, Taco Bueno, and Chick Fil A ... check!

Well, don't bother bringing any winter clothes down here, cause it's hot! Ha! I am hoping for a cold front before Thanksgiving.. we need a little something to make it feel like fall around here. Enjoy your week!

Watching the news last night and seeing the tweets was crazy. The roads are great this morning up here in Skagit County. Thankfully. I need to shop for Thanksgiving. I would have hated to be stuck in my car for over 7 hours just sitting there.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving in Texas! Blessings to you and your family.

Lucky you! Yes, it is ridiculous but there are soooo many hills, plus people just freak out driving in the snow (I am one of them, lol!).

Lots of people lost their power last night too, plus I know several people that had a very long commute home. Enjoy the sun!

I'm about an hour from Seattle and this was my first snow storm to ever experience. I'm from the South so I definitely didn't know what to expect. I was excited when I woke up to lots of snow but then it freaked me out later that night when our power went out!

Happy Thanksgiving Kelsey!! Still following you from afar. It STILL hasn't snowed here in Ann Arbor yet... NUTS! The boyfriend and I were wanting to go skiing/boarding next weekend in Northern MI but that may not happen. Give our love to Texas--we aren't making it down there for the Holidays. And dont forget BBQ while you are there!!!! Bodacious is always our fav!!

I know it is crazy to think about how much caos snow can cause when you aren't used to it. I am glad you are enjoying family, but I am sure it would have been fun to see the snow which so rarely occurs in seattle.
