Wishful Wed ....Talent

'I wish' .... I had one particular talent, and it would be to harmonize!

I by no means am a good singer .... but, I can hold a tune!  With that being said, I wish more than anything, that I had enough talent to sing well and especially harmonize.

I am a sucker for anyone or any band who harmonizes, and I swear I fell in love with my husband because he is such a talented singer.  When we were dating, we would sit in his car for HOURS and play the same 20 second section over and over and over again until I would get the harmony part right.  My daddeoo would do this with me growing up too, but somehow it never clicked with me.  I only have an ear for the melody and it's hard for me to sing any other part!!

Maybe my future girls will have the talent like these girls who are 6,7, and 8 .... absolutely amazing!  It gives me chills.  My dad as well as Gabe's entire family was given the gift of singing, so let's just cross our fingers!

I am always impressed with people that can harmonize really well. I am a pretty good singer and took voice for many years but I have the hardest time "blending." I guess I like to stand out haha!

I wish I could be a triple threat like JLo, but without a hubby like Marc Anthony.

Aww, girlie! I am right there with you! I wish I could sing...or do anything musical for that matter...but sadly, I think those genes skipped a generation!!

I wish I could sing! I can't sing ANY tune!! Actually, I can't even hear different notes. I took violin lessons for 7 years when I was younger until my mom FINALLY realized I just did not have any musical talent in me!

My husband laughs at me because I practice this all the time in the car, at the house, and in the shower! It took me a long time to get it, but now it's fun, and I do it all the time! You too can learn to harmonize!!!

I just wish I could carry a tune...haa.. nah, I'm not so bad, but harmonizing is definitely beyond me. We used to have to harmonize for sorority rush songs and I just did a really good job faking it. So glad you're doing these, lovely. I like joining in! Fun topics on Wed make the mid week slump a lot better!! XOXO!

I can't harmonize either :(
I know how you feel. In church when the singers harmonize, I try and listen to what they do and mimic it, I am sure I sound awful, hahaha!

But wow, those girls sound AMAZING!!

Hi!
I just found your blog and I really like it!
It's funny because I actually wrote a post today about wishes and then found your blog later on. My post is a little different. I hope you'll check it out :)

Oh my gosh--I hope I didn't ruin the Biggest Loser for you!! I didn't even THINK about the Tivo crowd out there that hadn't watched it yet--hopefully I didn't give too much away!

This made me laugh sister! I have a clear memory of that loooooooooong van ride to the cabin when your brother and I first got engaged. Steve just kept singing the harmony part for you over and over and saying, "come on Kelso..." ha ha so funny!

being able to sing would be the best talent ever :)

I love to sing but I have a hard time harmonizing, it truly take a lot of time and dedication to get it down.

Those little girls are beyond adorable! I have recently started singing again (I used to take lessons at least once a week and worked in musical theatre), and am having trouble finding the harmony out of a song which is sad. I loved that hoodie you got by the way!

I would LOVE to harmonize! And you cheer for both???? That's a bit of an oxymoron from where I'm sittin'...north of the river and all. ;)

I love this... it is spreading and I am looking forward to it every week! I usually do it on Mondays (or whenever you post the topic) and have it scheduled to go up on Wed so I don't forget. What is the McLinky? Can I help get people on there?

Ohhh singing would have been mine too! (I didn't get to blog today because of a fam emerg)...le sigh, lady, next WED for sure!

I completelyyy feel ya on that one, I can sing but only melodies. I had to sing the harmony for a duet in church and it was the hardest thing ever to not switch to the melody!

I'd love to be able to harmonize too! A friend recently showed me this video...talk about harmonizing, this is truly amazing!
