After moving to Seattle, I noticed a huge chunk of Subaru Outbacks on the road, and I told myself I would never drive one. Luxury cars were a dime a dozen in Dallas, and well, I have never been a Subaru lover. But, the Smith Family is now one step closer to adding tree-hugger to our middle name by driving this lovely AWD SUV, but I have to admit ... I just love it!
This weekend started out perfectly with the arrival of my new baby!! You can catch up on my previous post (here) about my first "dragon" and the million memories that came along with previous company car This little model is less wagony (thank goodness) and more a mini SUV (I will continue to tell myself this!), so let's think of a new name for her.
After four months of anxiously waiting (here) ...... she is all mine, and I think my Seattleite title can be made! Consumer Reports rated it extremely high and gets 32 miles to a gallon on the highway. I am really green on the road now :)

Yay!!! I got a new car back in July...isn't it fun! We looked at the Subaru Forester pretty seriously. They make some nice looking (and running!) cars!

Fun!! I love new cars! My hubby is obsessed with subaru's....he's convinced they live forever! Neither of us is in the car market right now though, so I will have to live vicariously thru you!
My fiance lives and dies by Consumer Report. He must refer to it for almost every purchase!! And I'm loving your car..anything that is some what like an SUV, but not as big....swooon.

Whoo-hoo...we're Subaru twins lady!!! I own the Tribeca and aboslutely LOVE IT ♥ Never thought i'd own a Subaru either. They are rated as the top AWD vehicle...and lordy knows with our wonderful winter weather WE WILL need it :)- Enjoy the new car hun.

HAHA! YAY! VERY nice new car girl! I looked at it and the first 2 names that came to mind was Francin or Franchesca. LOL I have no idea why. Just looks like a Franny to me. LOVE IT though! Congrats!

haha, I just got a Subaru in July! It is a Legacy Wagon!!! I NEVER EVER imagined or thought I would be driving a WAGON!! My old car (Honda Civic) got totaled in July, and my husband said he would give me more money (on top of the insurance money) to buy a car IF I GOT a Safe car he approved of! It was a Toyota Forerunner or Subaru! I didn’t want to pay extra gas for an SUV, so I said the Subaru! Everyone teases me now about driving a wagon. Living in NH, I hope I love this car this winter in the snow!

I'm just now catching up on blogs and saw this--so you've turned into a little Seattle hippy?? What would Dallas say? :) I used to live in Hurst/Colleyville when I was in kindergarten, if you know where that is.
The Subaru's have really made themselves cuter now! Even the dreaded FORESTER (which I used to LOATHE) is now cuter than it used to be! I bet that it has more room then my Ford escape hybrid also, and it looks like it might get better mileage since mine BARELY gets to 30mpg on the highway! Congrats!
I LOVE the 2010 Outbacks!! They look nothing like wagons anymore and they are so roomy inside! My friends just got one and they adore it- I used to wish for a Rav 4 (and I still do) but now an Outback as well. Good choice!
