WineDay

Last week was one of my favorite ladies birthday!!!
(I get my daily dose of Jay at Crossfit, which makes the workout all-the-much better!)

After 25, we agreed to stop counting, but we celebrated Jamie's birthday in style at Passport to Woodinville.  Approximately 35 wineries participated, and one flat fee gets you a fancy wine glass and wine tasting throughout the weekend!  This is their time to shine, and they go all out serving reserve wines and h'orderves!

Shelby was the official party planner who arranged the day:  coffee, nine stops to our favorite wineries, dance party, and then an evening of yummy steaks at  El Gaucho!  Starting off the day at Efeste, then went to Two Vinters, Covington, Hestia, Stevens, Matthews ...

Jamie, Shelby, Me, Carly, Alison, Jessika

Then, my personal favorite, JM Cellars, tasty wine with steak sandwiches and carrot soup
.... Perfection on a chilly day!

HAHA - Classic!

Birthday Girl

Getting in TROUBLE!

These pillars were just asking for us to stand by them!

And lastly, the gorgeous sunset - talk about God's country!

Next stop, CABO, with these ladies in less than two months!

**I visited my first winery after moving to Seattle, and I have to say, my fellow Texans are slightly missing out.  I am not a huge wine connoisseur or heavy drinker (had to throw that out there), but I find the environment at wineries really enjoyable, especially with girlfriends!

I have to agree with that last statement. I LOVE wineries and think they are too good to pass up. I am not a drinker (not at all actually), but an occasional glass of wine or wine tasting is all a girl needs. Texans are def missing out.

I want to go to a winery one day, just to experience it. I am definitely not a heavy drinker, either. I have "sipped" different wines but never found one I liked, maybe going to a winery would help me find one I really liked. ;o)

I love wineries! Glenn and I recently went to our first one here in Waco...not as fabulous as I had seen on tv, but still fun! I wish we had places like that in Texas!

I love wineries! There is a festival that we go to every year that is similar where a bunch of wineries come and you get to taste to your hearts content. It is so much fun I am just a little jealous of your night out though!

I'm not a big drinker either - in fact, I hardly ever do - the drink has to be super sweet (think dessert wine or Pina Colada!) for me to even try it - ha ha ha ha. Wineries are fun places - they are so unique and interesting! Y'all look so pretty! Looks like you had an awesomeeeee time :)
