Vaca in Reno/Tahoe Part 1

My favorite Seattle lady and I decided to go to Reno a couple days early (before the Tahoe wedding) to visit her best friend from high school.  It was so relaxing, and we did so much in the couple days we had.

Mollie and me enjoying lunch in downtown Reno

Dinner at JJ's Pizza -- which had the best crust ever!
*They served honey to dip the crust in, but I couldn't make myself to do it.

We spent an entire day at Lake Tahoe, and this was a highlight of the trip!
Talk about peaceful, white sand, CLEAR CLEAR water, and some good fun in the sun.

Check out this sandwich .... we thought the three of us could eat it.
By the end, we didn't even put a dent in it and ate like a third.

Now the best for last!!
Amy is a manager at Sephora, and her house is like makeup heaven.
She gets bags and bags and more bags of makeup, skincare, perfume, shampoo, etc.
Anything you could ever think of, she gets, and is so generous to share with her friends.
It was the least we could one evening while we were giving ourselves mini facials was organize her bins.  Everything was thrown into these bins, so we labeled all the bins:
color, skincare, body, then put all the eyeshadows, mascaras, eyeliners, etc in seperate baggies.

Then, she went through all her stuff, and it was like Christmas.
I feel like a new woman and have so much new fun stuff to play with.

THANKS AMY!!!!
We had so much fun with you :)

*Too much for one post, so wedding festivities are next!

Wishful Wednesday: Home

'I wish' .... I could come home to this house everyday!

This house was highlighted as one of the "Street of Dreams" home on Tiger Mountain in 2003.

I love the over all look ....
the driveway, the landscape, the color tone, as well as the lush mountains behind.

The Street of Dreams is the most popular and highest attended single site luxury home and garden tour in the US.  It is a 37-day tour during the summer to highlight the newest trends and most innovated designs for a nominal fee.

I wouldn't mind owning one of those one day, ha!!!

Slight panic.

My phone died from water damage, but officially came back to LIFE!! I was told to take out the battery, sim card, back cover, etc and most of the time it will fix itself. AND, it did!! Thank goodness for patience! Although, the last 24 hours have been a nightmare without my daily dose of technology ....

Shopping in YOUR closet: Denim

My girlfriend from college, Meredith, started a weekly series Shopping in YOUR closet!  This week is favorite denim, and I just had to chip in my two cents.  I have always been a girl who loves designer jeans and will invest in a few too many pairs, but I wear them forever, so I continue to buy them.  **Sidenote:  I still wear my very FIRST pair of Sevens that I got in high school, ya that is wayyyy too long, but they are still in great/good condition ...  (I just counted, and those puppies have gotten SEVEN good years in --- too funny).

Anyways, I have never been a fan of skinny jeans considering I was gifted with an apple bottom and am not anywhere close to being stick skinny.  A couple months ago, I was shopping at Forever 21 and had a stack of fun tops to try on, but realized I was wearing a skirt that wouldn't help me the slightest.  We all know it is impossible to get the full picture of what the rest of the outfit will look like, so I grabbed the first pair of dark denim jeans I saw in my size.  Once I got to the dressing room, I realized  they were skinny jeans ... and I thought oh this is going to be funny!  I tried them on and absolutely loved them.  Better yet, they were $12.50 and have gotten more wear than anything I own.  They are so comfortable, a great dark color, and super cute (I think at least)!!!

Here is a picture :)
