Gussy

Well, I teased you earlier this week on a Gussy product, and now comes the BIG reveal!

One might ask, "What is Gussy?"  

I am pleased to introduce my lovely reader's to Maggie's company, Gussy!  Talk about a creative lady who has a full time career at an advertising agency and dedicates the rest of her time to sewing colorful bags of all different sizes that are so unique.  

This item is happily mine and has a new home .... with me!

How amazing and vibrant is the pattern!!!

AND, the inside is covered with a plastic overlay, making it waterproof!  I feel better knowing I can wipe it out with a washcloth, and "wa-lah" it's back to new again!

This pouch can literally be used for anything, but I am personally loving it for a my few pieces of makeup that I want during the day.  Even better, it is only $15!!!  Cute right?!?!


AND, no more digging in my purse ... 

because this little puppy catches my eye!

Since receiving this bag last week, Maggie has already added a new product to her Etsy shop that I am already eying.  It's a wallet that even includes a small pocket for debit/credit card and ID!  That's my kind of find and would totally be a hit in Seattle since I don't always carry my huge purse around.

Let's be honest, I love her!!!

I find Lady Gaga very unique/odd.  She is intriguing, overly slightly dramatic, an amazing artist, and so much more.  Only she will sing and dance in an over the top manner and NOT lip sync.  Even Britney Spears won't do that!


I saw an interview with Lady Gaga on Oprah earlier this month .... and I like her that much more now .....  She said she isn't just being provocative to be provocative, but she wants her music and outer expression to inspire others and to actually mean something.    She encouraged others "to be proud and celebrate all the things you don't like about yourself and do what makes you feel good while expressing it!"

Who doesn't like a genuine lady who was surprisingly well poised and had a reason behind the madness :)  She is way more like-able than I ever could have imagined after seeing her interview, and I would love to experience her life for maybe a few extra minutes once the three pass!

Really????

I am a huge advocate of the library because they make the entire reading process that much better.  Who doesn't love a free book that is conveniently shipped to your local library from another branch just by a few clicks from the couch.  Then, an email update with delivery status pops into my blackberry, and my happy self has seven days to pick it up.

Well not with THIS read.  Geez!

I just added this to my "hold list" at the library, and I am number 320 on the hold list and there are 31 holdable copies.

COME AGAIN??  

Maybe I can read this book next year ....... hahahahha!!

Colt Kreck

My best friend, Abbdae, threw the most amazing prince themed birthday party for Colt this past Saturday, and I am so sad I missed the shin-dig.  Their family is so special to me, and her little punkin head too, so this is where me living in Seattle really GETS IN THE WAY!!!  Ugh.

Love you Col-T, and I'm sorry your Momma's friend couldn't make it.  Good thing you are only one and don't really recognize who is there or not, but I know you Momma does :(    xoxo!

Catchup

I spent majority of last week in Portland with meetings keeping me tied up ALL day and night.  I think of Portland as a mini-Seattle, and do love the fact that Oregon doesn't have sales tax.  Every.single.visit. ..... my work girlfriends and I think it is enough of an excuse to go shopping since it saves you 9.5%, but this visit sadly didn't give us one spare second to shop.  Bummer, but the pocketbook at least liked it.  

In Portland, 
I indulged in crab cakes THREE days in a row!!  Mmmmm.

We stopped in at Mother's, which was highly recommended by the six people I screened before making a decision on a lunch spot, and it did not disappoint.  It was the most quaint bistro, and I felt like I was absolutely in Italy.    We ate dinner the following night at Portland City Grill, which had an amazing view of the city on the 30th floor of a high rise downtown.  They know how to cook some crab cakes.  Then, I got pressured into ordering my steak oscar style by the nice server, and oh how tasty it was.  This was the first time I have ever ordered a petite filet oscar with crab and Bearnaise sauce on top.  Can we say I left FAT and HAPPY?!?!  Then, we went back for more the following day for lunch again at Mother's.  I think we liked it -- Too funny!

Well, I finally made my rounds to all 64 (yahoo!!) of the Wishful Wednesday posts, although sadly I was still working on them this past Saturday morning.  That may be a record of most people linked up -- gotta love it!!  Thanks to all my followers for participating and making it so fun each week one after another!  The past five months of WW has just flown by.  Also, feel free to email me topics you are interested in, it would be much appreciated!

AND, today was super exciting, but I won't get toooooo pumped up about it until I get more information.  It MAY involve my dream house!!!

I thought Kate Hudson was truly the "belle of the ball" in her Marchesa gown.  Ohhhh, how stunning and classy in white, too!!  I would be the lame one who would only want my dress to be white, black, gold or silver!!  Doesn't she look like a Barbie Doll??  I love it!

This place first and foremost would include my favorite .... Crossfit.  This mega one stop shop would also have a basketball court and league for the hubby, Hot Yoga because I love it every now and then, a Smoothie Bar for a healthy snack after a workout, a Salon for a monthly medi/pedi, a Spa to spoil us rotten, and more.  Think of this place as a Disney World for gym rats!!

AND, since I am a good friend, I would have water aerobics for Abby because she loves swimming with old people.

Little Visitors

Jiffy Lube employee after finishing my oil change:  You have a few visitors hanging out in your engine (while holding acorns in his hand)!

Me:  Excuse me, what??

Employee:  It seems squirrels are nesting in your engine.

Me:  What?  Are you sure?  

Employee:  Do you park your car outside during the night?

Me:  Yes .....

Employee:  Since it had been so chilly, it seems like multiple squirrels have been trying to stay warm during the night and hiding little acorns throughout.  We will spray some cleaner throughout the engine, and it will hopefully make it where the don't come back.

*HAHAH, okay -- crazy right?  Has anyone heard of this?!?!
