'I wish' .... I could have worn my dress but with a small addition of a sleeve on my wedding day!
The dress on the right is pretty similar to the type of neckline that would have been perfect on my dress. I really like the lace, the mermaid fit, the overall classyness, and I think the one sleeve would have been a fabulous addition on my special day, so I didn't pull at it non-stop to keep it "up!"
After looking at a gazillion websites for THE perfect gown, I have come to the conclusion that designers do not make enough gowns with gorgeous necklines in addition to the traditional strapless dress.

I absolutely LOVED loved LOVED my gown and still do ....
it was the very first one I tried on,
and I would absolutely pick it again!

BUT, a little support would have been appreciated :)
What does your ideal gown look like? Would you pick the same one again if you were to do things all over again? Post the gown you have had your eye on!!

I personally would not understand the support...only because I had my seamstress stuff my dress so it looked like I had more on top than I really do! :)) As Andrew calls it "False advertising" :))

ReplyDeletewow your dress is so pretty! that picture is gorgeous im sure you had some great wedding photos! and thats so cool it was the 1st one you tried on! score! lol. i like the one shoulder idea though its cute.
ReplyDeleteI adore your actual wedding dress! There's something about lace that just sets a dress in a different category - love it! (Of course it probably doesn't hurt that there's a gorgeous woman wearing it, too...) But I also love the one strap ones! Absolutely b-e-a-utiful!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting a strapless wedding dress for as long as I can remember, but I have been rethinking that decision lately, for the same reasons you wish your dress had had a strap: I don't want to be pulling on it on day!
ReplyDeleteSomething got messed up and my post was posted last night, but I've added my link, so you can read all about what I'm thinking now for my special day dress!
Your gown is lovely!! :)

The one on the right is stunning, as is your own. I don't have an issue of needing much support, but I love the look of the one shoulder!
