Beat the Bridge 8K

My Crossfit girlfriends lured me into running at 8k tomorrow, and I am REALLY excited/nervous.  Let's not let it go unmentioned that I have not been training for this considering I signed up four days ago, but I am sure I will survive right?!?

Many options to chose from:
8k Race, 4-mile Family Walk, or 1-mile Fun Run.
Sounds fun to me!

It goes to a great cause to benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research, and the goal is to beat the University Bridge at the 2 mile mark before it is raised.  I think that makes it exciting, so you don't get stuck :)

All you runners out there .... what's your favorite upbeat song to run to?  I am getting my iPod ready with some jams!

Let's hope these sore chubby legs run fast!
