Days aren't long enough

I LOVE the holidays, but let's be honest ....
The Seattle Smith's are overwhelmed!!!!

My tree is still in the garage ...
None of my decorations are up ...
My Christmas cards are still in their box ....

Our minds have been elsewhere trying to stay updated with Mark's condition from the other side of the  country.  We are so thankful that the surgery was successful and they removed 60% of the tumor.  Gamma knife radiation will treat the rest.  He is still in ICU and facing a few complications that I pray will subside quickly.  Thank you all for the sweet comments and prayers for my dear father in law.

To add to the mix, I had two interviews yesterday which have kept me quite busy.  I made it to the final two, and now just waiting for the news.  I am at peace with it either way and better off  because of it.

Who is anxious for December to pass, haha!

I hear ya about being busy this month! I still haven't decorated or bought my tree yet either. I have my small one at work on my desk, but at home nothing! I'll hopefully get to it all this weekend. I hope you get one of the jobs... lots of finger crossing and prayers!

  9. Thank goodness everything went well with the surgery. I know it is such a tough thing to deal with any illness especially when you are so far away. I hope he has a great recovery. As for everything else...don't worry about the look of christmas it is the thought, the feeling and it seems that you have that.
good luck with the job search.xo

  13. Guess What Sweet Kelsey Girl!
I give you permission NOT to even put up decorations this year!
You really can opt out one year you know!
Last year when Greg was living here and I was still in Alabama I didn't put one Christmas decoration up. The year before that...we had two new kitties...we chose not to put up a tree that year!
Now your cards...yes...I would send those out!
But the decorations...can stay boxed up and never missed!

Living in the Northwest...all you have to do is look into the distance and catch a glimpse of those snow covered mountains...that is decor that some would give anything to have!
    Have you heard that song:
    Christmas in the Norhtwest &
    Walking in Seattle Latte Land!

  22. Wow - a busy few days and weeks. Cancer runs in my family so I'll be thinking about you. This is definitely a time when you need to be strong. Not only for your father-in-law but for yourself as well. Trust in the Lord. He works wonders and always knows what he doing and why he's doing it. I'm headed tomorrow to get one of my cysts/tumors checked out tomorrow w/ an ultrasound so I know the anxiety that comes along with these things. I'm
